On the regularity of product of irreducible monomial ideals

摘要：

Let S = k[x(1), ... , x(n)] be a polynomial ring in n variables over a field k. When I, J and K are monomial ideals of S generated by powers of the variables x(i), it is proved that reg(IJK) <= reg(I) + reg(J) + reg(K). If n <= 4, the same result for the product of a finite number of ideals as above is proved.
