摘要
One of the dimensions involved in the information management process is the relationship with the organization's stakeholders. In a public institution, access to information in the aspect of monitoring management is a mechanism of governance and accountability. The objective of this paper is to analyze the information management process in the accountability of a public university to its stakeholders. To this end, its documents of accountability were identified and the process of information management in the preparation of the university's Management Report is described. This is a qualitative approach research, based on a case study, using interviews. The technique adopted for data analysis was content analysis using the ATLAS.ti software as a tool for data systematization. The results allowed us to identify the information management flow adopted in the elaboration of the institution's accountability and to infer that the university's accountability is aimed at the control bodies and not at society and other stakeholders. Finally, it was found that the flow of the analyzed institution keeps great similarity with the information management model developed by Choo (2003), whose focus is on the strategic value of information.
