摘要
We propose a flexible energy-selective surface (ESS) with an extremely wide protection band for effective high-power microwave (HPM) protection in the field of electromagnetic biological effects. The ESS incorporates nonlinear devices onto the frequency selective surface to shield against electromagnetic radiation. Simulation results indicate that the designed ESS achieves an insertion loss of less than 3 dB for low power signals within the frequency range of 3.5-4.5 GHz. Moreover, the ESS provides extensive protection against HPM within the frequency range 0.1-7.5 GHz. We conduct a comprehensive full-wave simulation and successfully construct a prototype that performs exceptionally well, validating the consistency between the simulation and the experimental results.
