摘要
The effect of controlled gas nitriding with zero flow at 500 and 550 degrees C of different duration on the structure, phase composition, and wear resistance of Armco-iron is studied. Nitride layer phase composition is determined. Growth kinetics and wear resistance of a layer obtained with a nitriding potential of 1 atm - 0.5 during 10 h under dry friction conditions are studied. It is established that gas nitriding with zero flow facilitates formation of a gamma '-phase surface layer, which increases Armco-iron wear resistance due to reduction in weight loss intensity.
