摘要
The purpose of this study is to examine students' perceptions of online discussion boards for homework in an accelerated online graduate-level accounting course. Compared to students without the use of online discussion boards, students with the use of online discussion boards for homework rate the instructor and course significantly higher. The results also reveal that students prefer the ungraded and voluntary online discussion boards rather than the required and graded discussion boards. Due to the impact of various factors, the paper shows the variation between favourable overall ratings of the instructor and course versus neutral rating about online discussion boards for homework. The research has some practical implications for accounting educators and practitioners in accelerated online learning environments.
