摘要
Urinary incontinence is a widespread gynecologic condition affecting around 30% of all women. There are different kinds of urinary incontinence which thus require different therapeutic approaches. Prior to treatment, a detailed medical history should be taken and a thorough urogynecologic examination performed. Conservative treatment options should be exhausted before surgical therapy is considered. Cornerstones of conservative treatment include electrostimulation therapy with or without biofeedback and medication. Available surgical options include tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) and tension-free vaginal tape-obturator (TVT-O) for stress incontinence. For urge incontinence, sacral neurostimulation can be considered.
