The text presented here aims to provide a new perspective on the issue of conflictive relations between the Riffians and the Moroccan Makhzen in the 20th century, focusing on the social protests during the autumn of 1958. Likewise, these social protests are analyzed, their organization, the demands of the demonstrators and the negotiations with the Makhzen, the analysis of the armed intervention and the repression of the movement and the trial of the rebels.
