摘要
In this paper, I explore the evolution of the concept of organic form and morphology in the scientific and philosophical context, with a focus on its reemergence in the 21st century. After initially being excluded from neo-Darwinian evolutionary theory, morphology has regained centrality through clusters of excellence in Germany that reinterpret and expand Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's definition of form. During the 20th century, morphologists redefined their field, abandoning historical and phylogenetic explanations and adopting engineering approaches. Morphology is now conceived as an interstitial and transdisciplinary enterprise between biology, engineering, and literature. This has led to a redefinition of the internal structure of morphology and its relationships with other disciplines. Philosophy rediscovers the concept of form, seeking theoretical bases for understanding the dynamics of organic, technical, and aesthetic forms. The article emphasizes that morphology should be regarded as a common, transdisciplinary effort, a point of contact between different disciplines, and raises key questions about the philosophy of form in the context of the new techno-scientific challenges of the 21st century.
