Spatial Intelligence in Edge Cognitive Computing

Edge computing has received considerable research attention in the Internet of vehicles for smart transportation and traffic control applications. However, information sharing and learning have met technical challenges such as data heterogeneity, mobility and intermittent connectivity. This paper presents a new scheme that integrates spatially correlated caching and multi-tier edge cognitive computing as a solution for efficient data sharing and processing. Experimental results demonstrate the scheme is capable of performing spatial data processing with more accuracy and less rate of failed tasks.
