摘要
This essay aims to analyze The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis through Paul Virilio's theories of dromology. C. S. Lewis has used the relative notion of time in his stories to show that technological progressions change the classical beliefs in physics into modern physics which is based upon the shattered boundary of time and place. In the ensuing framework, he creates fantasy discourses that become the bedrock of the genre of fantasy. However, in this essay, the aim is to show Lewis transected his own time, and his works manifest the progression of science and the emergence of the new concept of time which is different from the classical notion. In this essay, the researcher shows that time is circular, not linear and the subjects can defy the traditional meaning of time and place.
