摘要：
In the background of optical design, the basic principle and strategy, knowledge representation and organization, and architecture of integrated intelligent system MEX-1 for optical design are described. Finally, an example designed by MEX-1 is given. This work has proposed a new viewpoint and method of optical design and provided complex zoom optical design with a powerful tool.
