Philip Roth is a successful Jewish writer in contemporary America. His fiction, The Human Stain explores the human relationship in a post-war multi-ethic America. In this essay, I give a tentative analysis of the main characters in the novel in the post-colonial context, thus enabling people to have a better interpretation of the novel in the post-colonial context.
