Lotus corniculatus L. (bird’s-foot trefoil) is an important pasture with rich nutrients and "bloat safety", which is distributed in the temperate zone and capable of growing in poor soil under inclement weather. Plant regeneration from anther and meristem of L. corniculatus have been achieved. However, there was only one successful report on protoplast culture of L.
