SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MCM-41 IN A NEW SYSTEM OF AGING PRETREATMENT

The mesoporous MCM-41 molecular sieve is synthesised for thefirst the by crystallizing and subsequent calcining a wet surfactant silicategel. Gel solid which was separated from the reaction mixture has been usedas the starting material for crystallization. The as-synthesized sample ischaracterized using XRD, TG-DTA and N2 adsorption measurements. Thenew synthesis procedure shows that a large amount of liquid is not necessaryfor MCM-41 synthesis, which can greatly increase the yield per unit volumeof autoclave and can help us to understand the formation mechanism ofMCM-41.
