NSFC President Meets with UQ Guests

Prof.Yang Wei,NSFC President met with a delegation led by Dr.Peter Hφj,President of the University of Queensland on March 21,2013.Prof.Yang extended his welcome to the delegation and briefed on NSFC’s latest progress,including a review of the NSFC funded cooperative projects between Australia and China based scientists.He pointed out that,as two big countries located in the northern and southern hemispheres and having a lot in common,China and Australia enjoy a time-honored history of scientific and technological cooperation,and both countries have a very sound basis for bilateral cooperation.Prof.Yang also mentioned that last year a delegation led by Prof.Shen Yan,Vice President of NSFC paid a visit to the University of Queensland,and was impressed by the university’s research standards and international cooperation activities.Dr.Peter
