With the current liberal policy of opening to the outsideworld, English Language Teaching (ELT) is increasinglypopular in China. Furthermore, with the recent success ofChina’s accession to the World Trade Organization and winningfor hosting the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, there is anobvious consensus among the nation that English is a necessityfor almost any modern Chinese.
