摘要
Bidirectional EDFAs(Bi-EDFAs)featuring bidirectional signal input are theoreticallystudied.Gain and noise performances of Bi-EDFAs are analysed numerically and comparedwith that of other optical amplifiers.Applications of Bi-EDFAs in fiber networks and otherfields are considered.
