A Brief Introduction to Feminist Translation Theory in the West

The last thirty years in the 20th century is considered to be the feminist era. Feminist consciousness has been fully waken up and come into a strong force in the world. When feminism met translation, the latter quickly becomes the formers’ only and the most important medium. This paper will introduce the historical overview, theoretical basis,translation strategies,limitations and criticism of feminist translation theory.
