摘要
This short essay tries to illustrate that language is the primary obstacle to cross-cultural communication, not just because of the difference of words and expressions, but the cultural factors including the associated meanings and spirits reflected by languages. It takes JoyLuckClub by Amy Tan as an example to give more vivid impression.
