Prospects for Sino-Russian Trade and Economic Cooperation

Since Heihe City was made one of the first group of border cities to be opened to the outside world through the approval of the State Council in March 1992, it has gained momentum in Sino-Russian economic and trade development. Between 1992 and 1993, Heihe port saw a 2 billion Swiss Francs growth in import and export trade, ratified 119 joint and cooperative projects at home and overseas, sent 3,433 labourers abroad and handed RMB468 million in taxes to the State.
