Research and Application Status of Boron Microalloying in High Quality Steel PlateXIAO Li-jun, QIU Sheng-tao, LIU Jia-qi, GAN Yong (State Key Laboratory of Advanced Steel Processes and Products, China Iron and Steel Research Institute Group, Beijing 100081, China) Abstract:The development of new high quality steel plate is of great importance in our country. This paper mainly introduces the application of microalloying element boron (B) and analyze its different effects in some steels, such as continuous annealing cold-rolled Al-killed steel sheets, hot rolling stretching steel plate, high strength pipeline steel, non-oriented silicon steel, ferritic stainless steel and so on. The results show that the microalloying element B has a broad application prospect in the development of new high quality steel plate.
