Gradient-index(GRIN) plano-convex lens optimizing its curvature with the refractive index distribution coefficients can attain the high numerical aperture aplanat. Highly specified lens system of either infinite and finite conjugate, can be achieved successfully by utilizing the new type of GRIN lens.
