Insight into Birth Defects in China from the Angle of Biology

Birth defects affect the quality of the newborn population,and have became a major public health problem in China.Genetic factors,environmental factors,and the interaction of the two is the direct cause of the incidence of birth defects.This review,based on the neural tube defects as an example,give insight into the pathogenesis of birth defects from the genomics,epigenetics,metabonomics and environment factors and explore new strategy of birth defect prevention in China.
