The Strategies of Reading in English Teaching in Middle School

Reading is very important in language learning. Learners can understand and have a feeling of other countries’ customs. In the reading process, students will acquire knowledge and know foreign countries’ background culture. Reading is the main skill and task in English teaching. It is an absolutely necessary part in English Test. Teacher should master the useful reading strategies to teach the students in order to improve their reading ability. This paper analysis the main problems of the traditional ways to teach English reading and give some suggestions to future teaching.
