摘要
Parody is a rhetoric device used widely nowadays in English advertisement, including imitation of words and sentences. This paper analyzes in detail the types, characteristics and functions of parody applied in advertising. These rhetoric effects of parody in advertising discourse are worth people's attention and effective use.
