摘要
In the summer of 1980, a coordination group found a few fossil vertebrate and mollusc-bearing beds during seismogeological and palaeogeographical investigations at Nihewan of Yangyuan County and Xiyaozhitou of Yuxian County, Hebei Province. Preliminary excavations of these beds revealed quite a number of fossils. Before the fifties no fossils were found from the so-called "Hipparion Red Clay". Afterwards
