摘要：
It is well known that the Conceptual Metaphor Theory is the part of Cognitive Linguistics, and it is the bridge between metaphor and vocabulary learning. By means of the detailed discussion towards types of idioms and comparison of English idioms and Chinese idioms, the thesis analyses how to put conceptual metaphor theory into the practice of teaching Idioms.
