1. IntroductionContact glow discharge electrolysis (CGDE) pro-vides a novel type of electrochemical process in whichplasma is generated in a localized zone between ananode and an electrolytic solution. The normal elec-trolysis develops into contact glow discharge electrol-ysis when the applied voltage is sufficently high, us-ing a thin wire anode in contact with the surface ofelectrolyte.
