摘要：

Considering the status-quo of extensive reading and its indispensible role in English learning, this thesis sets out to make a brief study of teaching extensive reading to non-English majors by applying interactive teaching approach. Outlining the applications of the approach and introduction of portfolio assessment to test the learning outcomes, the author intends to explore the effectiveness of teaching extensive reading.
