摘要：

1.Introduction This essay will define and critically explore codeswitching.Different studies and models of code-switching will be discussed accordingly.Since both sociolinguistic and psycholinguistic approaches can be used to account for contexts and grammatical constraints on code-switching,this essay will only focus on the sociolinguistic approach.
