Teaching English through Tasks and Activities in the Young Learners' Classroom

As the concept of"the Belt and Road Initiative"was proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping, the importance of learning foreign language for communication started to enter into a higher stage. In the 19;National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping mentioned that a nation will prosper only when its young people thrive, indicating the significance of the education of young people. Regarding English education of young people, however, there is still a universal phenomenon of dumb English. This article focus on the task-based language teaching approach to study teaching English through tasks and activities in the young learners’ classroom, in order to improve their English communicative abilities.
