Jiangxi RE Industry in the First-Half of 2006

Jiangxi RE industry presented a good situation in the first-half of 2006. Mining volume was controlled and application of deep-processed products progressed stably. I . RE industry in the first-half of 2006 The gross mining volume of ion adsorption clay was effectively controlled with the strengthened regulation by Jiangxi province and state governments. The licensed .mining volume of rare earth ore in Jiangxi province by National Land and Resources Ministry was 7,000 tons of rare earths in 2006. Statistics made by Ganzhou Rare Earth Minerals Co., LTD showed that the output of ion adsorption clay was around 3,290 tons (REO) in the first-half year, up 1.23% over the same period of 2005. Production of RE separated products was about 4,800 tons, reducing 7.46%. Turnout of RE alloys and materials was about 5,700 tons, up 12.6%. The sales income of RE products achieved by Jiangxi province in the first-half of 2006 was RMB￥1.2 billion, up 17% over the same period of last year.
