CHARACTERIZATIONS AND DUAL OF H~1 ON POSITIVELY CURVED MANIFOLDS

Theorem 1 solves the problem of duality between H~1 and BMO. Theorem 2 veri ies the conjecture on(H~1, L~1)-boundedness of the Riesz transform. In a sequential paper to appear, we will give an analytic proof of L~P-boundedness of the Riesz transform(1<p<∞).
