Recently, many scientists pay great attention to the characterization of highly dispersed bimetallic catalysts such as Pt-Sn/AlO, using model surface technique X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) combined with other methods. With the research going deep, more and more facts show that Sn in the catalysts is still present in oxidized states, but does not form an alloy with Pt.
