英语中,more…than,less…than常用于形容词和副词的比较等级中,例如:This story is more;interesting than that one.当比较项不同时,more…than结构的基本含义是“与其说…不如说…”,其变体是less…than;not so much…as。表达的含义恰好与more…than的意思相反。本文拟就三种结构之间的用法区别例析如下,以飨读者。
