摘要：

Anxiety is a serious problem among Chinese College EFL student.This paper firsdy defines language anxiety and gives a research to prove the existence of language anxiety.It subsequently lists some factors which are related to language anxiety,including perfectionist tendencies,personality traits,emotional intelligence traits and foreign language learning difficulty.The paper then illustrates the causes and effects of language anxiety.Finally it discusses how to alleviate students’ anxiety and turn anxiety into motivation.
