摘要：

The interpersonal function means that language can be used to express one's view about the world, to establish relationships with others, to influence others' behavior, and even to change the world. Within the theory framework of interpersonal meaning in Halliday's Functional Grammar, the paper aims to study the interpersonal meaning realized through mood system in the book The Story of my Life so as to reflect the subject, tense and modality. Besides, the paper strengthens the understanding of the Systemic-Functional Grammar.
