摘要：

Humorous teaching helps liven up class, create a harmonious atmosphere, and promote interactions between teachers and students, thus relieving the anxiety of the learner and stimulating their motivation and creativity. This paper discusses the effects of the use of humor on College English teaching in practical scenarios as well as the principles to be followed, aiming to improve the teaching efficiency and students’ interest in English learning.
