摘要
Teacher feedback plays a key role in teaching second language writing. Though teachers have devoted a great deal oftime to giving written feedback to L2 students, some students complained that they benefit little from written feedback. This studyreviews research on the effectiveness of teacher written feedback in ESL context or EFL context in United States, and tries to sug-gest future direction in further research.
