Xinjiang Power Company and Tacheng Administrative Office jointly signed the Minutes of Talks on Promoting Development of Tacheng Power Grid on November 2. According to the minutes of talks, Xinjiang Power Company promised to make an investment of 1.76 billion Yuan in enhancing the construction of Tacheng Power Grid in the 11th Five-Year Plan period. The company planned to construct a 750-kV substation with a capacity of 1500 MVA in Usu City and a 750-kV line of 200 km; to construct three 220-kV substations with a total capacity of 360 MVA, 220-kV line of 98 km and 220-kV line upgrade of 90 km; to construct ten 110-kV and extend eight 110-kV substations with 370 MVA substation capacity newly added; to construct 110-kV line of 375 km and retrofit 110-kV line of 93 km. By the end of 2008, 10-kV lines of 135 km, 400-V lines of 118 km, 220-V lines of 21 km as well as 123 transformers will be built.
