摘要
How to regenerate whole plants from single cell clones and establish cell lines with vigorous growth and differentiation potential is now becoming one of the absorbing topics in plant tissue culture. Since somatic embryos could develop from single cells, the regeneration of them has been proved to be the most efficient approach with rapid propagation ability, which would be very useful in cytology, genetics and plant breeding studies. Foxtail millet is one of the main Cereals, so far, no report about the formation of its somatic embryos has been found in refer ence.
