摘要：
In this paper,the electromagnetic scattering of plane wave with TM and TEpolarizations from a lossy dielectric cylinder with arbitrary cross section is analyzed andcomputed by using the boundary element method.The numerical results of scattering pat-tern for a circular cylinder completely coincide with the analytical solution and that of thescattering properties in the near-or far-field region for elliptical and regular triangularcylinders are presented,which point out some valuable conclusions.
