Application of Text Typology Theory in Aviation English Translation

In the late 1970 s, with the development of functionalist theory, an introduction of the specific functional text-type modeltheory was put forward. A communicative purpose of translation was proposed, changing the consideration of lower linguistic levels.This paper expounds on the theory and the translation strategies of Text Typology and discusses the translation of the principles offighter aerial combat. The author applies the method of communicative translation and takes some specific translation methods toanalyze avionics aerial combat.
