摘要：

Both English and Chinese are abound with idioms.Idioms are an important part of the language and culture of a society.English and Chinese idioms carved with cultural characteristics account for a great part in the translation.This paper studies the translation of idioms concerning their cultural similarities,cultural differences and translation principles.
