Assuming an asymptotic tdependence of the current correlation function and using the linear response theory and Kramers-Krnig dispersion relation, we have obtained a unified explanation for experimental findings on α-LiIOalong c-direction, i. e., the tdecay of relaxation current, the steep rise of dielectric constants at low frequencies, and the approximate equality of its real and imaginary parts. The tasymptotic behaviour of current correlation adopted above was shown to be valid for an ionic conductive crystal with both positively and negatively charged carriers. In the present treatment, the linearized Debye-Hückel equation, Poisson equation, Navier-Stokes equation and the condition of local equilibrium were employed.
