Raw saltThe price of raw salt went down inApril 2007,with the price of sea saltin the south of Liaoning province drop-ping by RMB10/t to RMB165/t,com-pared with that of March 2007.Theunduly output growth of raw salt con-tributed to the price downturn.China’s output of raw salt was 8.305million tons in the first quarter of2007,an increase of 29.4% over thesame period of 2006,much higherthan the output growth of caustic soda(17.3%)and soda ash(9.1%).
