History The Buddhist Association of China (BAC) is a patriotic and educational organization that represents Buddhists of the three major traditions of all ethnic groups in China.Its founding in 1953 was the result of the collective initiative of more than20 Buddhist leaders,including Venerable Master Xu Yun,Venerable Master Xerab Gyaco,Venerable Master Yuan Ying,and lay Buddhist Zhao Puchu.It is headquartered in Beijing Guangji Temple.
