摘要：

Based on the Relevance Theory put forward by Sperber and Wilson, Gutt combined Relevance Theory with translation in his book Translation and Relevance: Cognition and Context. This paper will analyze the possibilities of the application of relevance theory to English-Chinese translation to guide others understand better in English-Chinese translation based on Relevance Theory.
