A cycle with a chord C′is a cycle Cplus one edge joiningtwo nonadjacent vertices.In 1977,R.Bodendiek,H.Schumach and H.Wegner proposed thefollowin g conjecture.Conjecture The cycles with a chord are graceful.It was proved in [2] that conjecture is true if the distancein Cbetween the end points of the chord is 2 or 3.
