Translation Methods on the Passive Voice in English for Science and Technology

At present, almost more than 80% scientific articles are first published in English, and half of the scientific journals in the world are circulated in English as well. Thus, the passive voice, as one of the distinguishing features in EST and its translation has become more and more important in the development of science and technology. The study on how to translate EST accurately has become a major task for scholars both at home and abroad. This paper tentatively put forward four strategies for the passive voice translation based on some practical examples.
